Istanbul Nişantaşı University hosted representatives from the defense, aviation, and advanced engineering sectors at its NeoTech Campus for an important meeting aimed at exploring new collaborations in research and development (R&D) and technology development.

The meeting was hosted by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Ece Salihoğlu, and our R&D Sector Office Directors, Timuçin Bayram and Dr. İsmail Kasap. Participants included Mustafa Kaya, Chairman of the Board of Skymark; Serhat Urcar, Engineering and Tender Manager at Metal Yapı; Hilmi Koç, General Manager of Onur Teknik; Barış Eser, Deputy General Manager of Chiron Group; and industry representatives Birol Şahin and Hakan Erzaim.

During the day-long program, the NEXA Project Portfolio, developed by our University's R&D Sector Office, was introduced. The sectoral applications and collaboration potential of the innovative projects included in the portfolio were evaluated, while a comprehensive presentation was delivered on the technical details and development processes of the Valve-X project.

The meeting focused on joint R&D initiatives, technology development opportunities, and potential collaboration models that could bring together our University's academic expertise with the engineering and manufacturing experience of industry partners. As part of the discussions, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) was signed between the parties, marking an important step toward the exchange of technical information and further evaluation of the projects.

Following the meeting, the visiting delegation toured the NeoTech Campus, gaining firsthand insight into our University's technological infrastructure, laboratories, and applied research facilities.

The meeting concluded with discussions on joint project development and technology-driven collaborations.
