Istanbul Nisantasi University General Laboratory Coordinatorship
In today’s digital age, innovation is one of the most decisive factors in global competition. In this regard, strengthening the R&D and innovation capacity of universities is of great importance. Established with this understanding, the General Laboratory Coordinatorship aims to manage the research infrastructure of our university effectively, efficiently, and sustainably; disseminate a culture of research among our academics; and enhance scientific productivity.
The primary mission of our Coordinatorship is to establish and maintain an inventory of the laboratories within our university, optimize their utilization, provide technical and scientific support to researchers, and encourage interdisciplinary studies. Increasing the visibility of our university’s research capacity and laying the groundwork for national and international collaborations are also among our key objectives.
In addition, the active involvement of our students in research processes is among the priorities of our Coordinatorship. Ensuring that students effectively benefit from laboratory infrastructure, expanding hands-on learning opportunities, and introducing them to the culture of R&D at an early stage are among our principal goals. Within this framework, undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to participate in projects, develop their technical competencies, and increase research outputs. Furthermore, students are encouraged to reinforce the theoretical knowledge acquired in their courses through practical applications in laboratory environments, gain direct experience in experimental and analytical processes, and enhance their professional competencies.
Our Objectives:
Mission: As the General Laboratory Coordinatorship, our mission is to strengthen our university’s research infrastructure by providing high-quality technical support to faculty members and researchers, ensuring the effective and efficient use of laboratories, increasing hands-on learning opportunities by involving students in research processes, enabling the practical application of knowledge acquired in courses within laboratory environments, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, and establishing a sustainable support mechanism throughout every stage of scientific research activities.
Vision: Our vision is to become a leading coordination center that advances our university’s R&D and innovation capacity, contributes to scientific production together with its students and academics, stands out through its practical education opportunities, competes at national and international levels, and pioneers university-industry collaborations.
