Countdown Begins For Crowd Funding Forum

The countdown has begun for the forum, which aims to raise awareness of Crowdfunding that has been on the rise in recent years and is one of the important steps of entrepreneurship, with the organization of Crowdfunding Association and Nişantaşı University.

The Mass Funding Forum, which will host important names in the sector, will take place for the first time on May 8 at Nişantaşı University Maslak 1453 NeoTech Campus.

Crowdfunding, which is rapidly developing in the world, is on the way to become one of the alternative financial funding methods for young entrepreneurs. The enterprise funding volume in the world, which was previously led by investment funds, began to be overshadowed by the funding volume provided by crowdfunding platforms at the end of 2016. According to the numbers for the end of 2016, there are over 2 thousand crowdfunding platforms that collected over $45 billion worldwide. According to the research conducted by the World Bank in 2011, this number is estimated to increase to $100 billion in 2020.

While entrepreneurs in America and Europe, who could not realize their ideas because they could not find funds anymore, started to apply in funding platforms such as Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, GoFundme, Seeders, crowdcube, and in our country, platforms such as crowdFON, fonGOGO, and arikanova are being pioneered for this system. In these platforms, young entrepreneurs collect small donations of many people and transform them into investments.

Crowdfunding Association, the pioneer of crowdfunding culture that offers entrepreneurs financial support through the crowds, organizes a big event. The First Crowdfunding Forum, which will be held for the first time on May 8, 2018 at the Nişantaşı University Maslak 1453 NeoTech Campus, aims to raise awareness of crowdfunding and exchange opinions with new investors on the necessary regulations. In the event where important speakers from the sector take place, entrepreneurs may have information about the current functioning and regulations in Turkey, and will also be aware of the opportunities waiting for them.

The founder of the Crowdfunding Forum and the association, Savaş Ünsal, draws attention to the advantages of the new system and invites young entrepreneurs and companies to the event. Ünsal said, "Thanks to crowdfunding, today many creative and innovative projects are being realized instead of only a dream. We anticipate that both the award and capital-based platforms will increase rapidly and that many organizations will enter this new sector with the approval of the New Crowdfunding Law in Parliament. As funding becomes widespread, new doors will be opened to everyone who is seeking support for the initiative they are trying to implement.
