Nişantaşı University and Şişli Municipality signed a Cooperation Protocol



The protocol formalizing the cooperation between the two institutions was signed at Şişli Municipality City Hall, with the cooperation of Şişli Mayor Muammer KESKİN, Nişantaşı Education Foundation Founder Dr. Levent UYSAL and Nişantaşı University Rector Prof. Şenay YALÇIN.

 

Prof. Şenay YALÇIN, Rector of Nişantaşı University, stated, “Since its establishment, our university is an institution dedicated to contributing to its students in every aspect of life, producing many information and technologies that our country needs. Today, as part of the protocol we will sign with Şişli Municipality, we would like to transfer the knowledge that our university owns. Thus, we will contribute to the society and the nation. We see this contribution as a responsibility, we are extremely happy in this regard.”

 

Mayor of Şişli, Muammer KESKİN, emphasized the importance of education in his speech and said, “Today, we came together to sign a comprehensive education protocol with Nişantaşı University as part of our capacity building program for vocational training and employment. I personally value our cooperation very much. Because, the pandemic has shown us all how things can suddenly change. Pandemic conditions have changed the definition of poverty and deprivation. We’ve once again seen the importance and indispensability of education and employment. I would like to thank the Rector of Nişantaşı University Prof. Şenay YALÇIN, his academic staff and all my colleagues who have worked to bring this cooperation to life.”

 

Nişantaşı Education Foundation Founder Dr. Levent UYSAL said in his speech, “Our university is a center of efficacy. Today, we are together to provide benefits to the citizens in the Şişli region and the employees of the municipality on many different issues. We will continue to cooperation that will be beneficial to the nation."

 

Thanks to "Implementation Protocol for the Development of Institutional Capacity", it will be possible to develop joint projects for grant programs, national and international funding sources, to carry out studies for lifelong learning centers to provide jobs, and to create capacity building programs for employment.
