Prof. Dr. Ilhami ÇOLAK Attended the 18th IEEE Conference in Hungary
Our Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Prof. Dr. İlhami ÇOLAK attended the IEEE 18th Power Electronics and Motion Control (PEMC) conference held in Budapest / Hungary between 26-30 August 2018 and presented an article titled “Sensorless Control of Wind Turbine Conversion Equipped with a DFIG Using MPPT Strategy”. In the article, Head of Mechatronics Engineering Department of our university, Faculty Member Dr. Korhan KAYIŞLI and Dr. Abdelkader Harrouz from Algeria and his doctoral students H. Becheri and I. K. Bousserhane are co-authors. At the conference, 210 participants from 50 different countries presented 183 articles.
PEMC, which is organized every two years, was first started in 1970 in Budapest / Hungary and PEMC committee has 46 members from European countries. Prof. Dr. İlhami Çolak was the first Turkish scientist to join this committee in 2012, organized the PEMC conference in Antalya in 2014 and has been a member of the IEEE PEMC award committee since 2016.
