Our Faculty joins at Delegation Committee for Germany and Netherlands Contacts
One of our faculties, Tolga SAKMAN, visited some institutions in Berlin, Lahey and Amsterdam thanks to the academic delegation committed he joined at. In his visit to Germany’s prominent think tanks such as German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), European Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin (ECFR), The German Near and Middle East Association (NUMOW), primarily Turkey’s relations with Germany and EU, and such issues as multilateral economy, safety and foreign policy were discussed. The committee negotiating with leaders of Germany Turkish community and Turkish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (TD-IHK) especially about the Turks living in Germany was welcome by Berlin Ambassador.
The committee that also visited the capital of Netherlands, Lahey, and Amsterdam made a consultation meeting with Charge d’affaires and its attendants in their visit to Turkey’s Lahey Embassy, and then visited International Centre for Counter Terrorism (ICCT), Türkevi Research Center, CDA Science Institute, ProDemos House for Democracy and the Rule of Law, PvDA Labour Party- St. Wiardi Think Tank and exchanged their opinions. Furthermore, bilateral negotiations were realized with Martijn J.F. van HELVERT, the President of the Foreign Affairs Commission, the Parliament of Netherlands and Mustapha AMHAOUCH, a member of Foreign Trade Commission, the Parliament of Netherlands. The opinion which tells more mutual progress can be enabled thanks to academic and civil initiatives was adopted as a result of the negotiations on the history, depth and content of the relations between Turkey and Netherlands.Release date: 18.12.2017
