General Information About Distance Education Final Exams
- Spring semester distance education final exams will be held on the Virtual Campus (https://sanalkampus.nisantasi.edu.tr/).
- You can access to the Virtual Campus from personal computers, tablets, smart phones or computers in our computer labs in our University. On the 1st to 10th of June 2020, all our computer labs at Maslak 1453 Neotech Campus will be ready for use with 50% capacity due to the physical distance rules. In terms of applicability, it is recommended to use personal computers in exams.
- Before starting the exams, please make sure that the device batteries are fully charged and there are enough quotas in the internet data packages.
- For students to enter the final exams on the virtual campus via distance learning method, all courses taken in the spring semester must be registered to them on the Virtual Campus. Students who are registered but cannot view the courses on the Virtual Campus must notify the [email protected] e-mail address until May 29, 2020, 16:00 at the latest.
- The exam date and time of all online courses on the virtual campus with the distance learning method will be announced on the Nişantaşı University website/announcements.
- Exams will be uploaded to the system 1 day before the dates specified in the exam program. Students should check whether the exam of the registered course is uploaded to the virtual campus within 24 hours before the exam and if the exam is not uploaded, they should contact the course instructor immediately.
- Access to the online final exams on the virtual campus via the distance learning method, will be within the time intervals announced for each course on our website, and access to the exams of the relevant courses will be closed automatically. For example; The student will be able to take the exam for the allocated time from the beginning of an exam that appears between 12: 00-12: 30 on the Virtual Campus, but the exam will be closed at the end of this time interval. Students who started the exam late have spent the time defined for the exam and WILL NOT BE GIVEN EXTRA TIME to complete the exam. Therefore, it is important to start the exams on time and this is the student’s responsibility.
- In order to access to distance education final exams and to calculate the exam scores correctly, students must log in to the Virtual Campus with their own user accounts and exit the exams by clicking the "End Exam" button after completing the exams. The "End Exam" button should NOT be clicked before answering all the questions in the exams.
- EXAMINATION MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE ALLOCATED TIME, PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THAT THE DURATION IS PART OF THE EXAMS. EXAMS WILL BE CLOSED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE ALLOCATED TIME IS OVER.
- Exam questions will be selected randomly from the question pools that were previously created and contain many questions. These randomly selected questions will be asked to the students in random order. The answers to the exam questions will also be shuffled up within themselves.
- Questions will be multiple choice, open-ended, matching and ranking will be asked in the exams.
- When the exam starts, only one question will appear on the screen. By only answering this question or leaving it blank, the next question can be seen on the screen. The questions answered or skipped CAN NOT BE RETURNED. Wrong answers in exams WILL NOT DECIMATE the correct answers.
- It is a criminal act to copy exam questions, take pictures, distribute or publish them and necessary legal procedures will be initiated.
- Necessary legal procedures will be initiated about the students who are determined to cheat individually or collectively during the exams.
- To become familiar with the exam screen interface, it is recommended to take the mock exam, which is currently open in Virtual Campus.
- Students who have more than one exam on the same day and hour are recommended to contact their advisors.
- In case of internet or power cut, students can continue the exam by clicking on the exam again within the allocated time.
- The IPs and Log records of the students who claim to have problems in the exams are examined.
- Exam scores will be displayed on the Virtual Campus at the end of the exam except for open-ended questions. No e-mails are sent to the Virtual Campus for objection to exam questions or scores.
- To object the exams, a form must be downloaded and filled out from https://www.nisantasi.edu.tr/Sayfalar/formlar.html on the Student Affairs tab of the University website.
- The deadline for exam objections is June 17, 2020.
- Exam objection forms must be sent to the Faculty / School / Institute Secretariats e-mail address below via student e-mail addresses with the extension nisantasi.edu.tr.
